Job summary

HotelJobs is seeking a Revenue Auditor for a well established hotel group based at Head Office in South Africa. You will conduct daily audits of revenue across all departments and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and supported by documentation.

You will reconcile revenue, payments, rebates, discounts and commissions, investigate discrepancies, review cashier summaries, and prepare daily revenue and audit reports while maintaining internal controls.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in accounting, finance or hospitality.
• Experience in hotel revenue auditing or night audit.
• Experience with hotel PMS and financial systems.
• Excellent Excel and numerical/reconciliation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily audits of hotel revenue across all departments.
• Reconcile revenue, payments, rebates, discounts, commissions and other transactions.
• Verify that revenue is recorded with supporting documentation.
• Investigate discrepancies and variances.
• Review daily revenue reports, cashier summaries and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, internal controls and procedures.
• Prepare and distribute daily revenue and audit reports.
• Liaise with Front Office, F&B, Reservations and Finance on revenue queries.
• Assist with month-end procedures and reconciliations.
• Identify control weaknesses and recommend improvements.
