Job summary

Village N Life's Camps Bay Retreat is seeking a Hotel Manager to oversee daily operations, staff performance, and overall financial results of the property.

The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest experiences for discerning travellers, with strong Leadership and Front Office experience in a 4/5 star setting, and familiarity with Opera PMS. English proficiency and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent is required.
• Proficient in English (read, write, and understand).
• Microsoft Office proficiency is essential.
• Drivers’ license possession is required.
• Opera experience is essential.
• Experience in a 4/5 star hotel is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily hotel operations including front desk and reservations.
• Oversee financial performance and hotel profitability.
• Ensure exceptional guest experiences and maintain high service standards.

The Hotel Manager will lead the daily operations, financial performance, and overall success of our esteemed hotel. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of our discerning, well-travelled, and contemporary guests, with a focus on delivering an exceptional guest experience. With a dedication to maintaining the highest standards, you will ensure that every guest's stay is nothing short of extraordinary, embodying the excellence our property is known for

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 or Equivalent
• Must speak, read, write and understand English at a professional level
• Computer literate level 2 minimum experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook in particular)
• Drivers’ license
• Financial Diploma (Advantageous)
• Previous experience in the same or similar position in a 4/5 star hotel
• Familiar with all duties and procedures in Front Office / Reservations Department
• MS Office (Word, Excel and Email) is essential
• Strong Food and Beverage experience
• Opera experience is essential
