Skills

Hospitality Management qualification or relevant experience

Pezula Nature Retreat, part of the Village n Life Group, is looking for an experienced Hotel Manager to join our team in Knysna.

Set within a nature‑led retreat where space, wellness and thoughtful hospitality are central to the guest journey, this role requires someone who can bring together operational excellence, team alignment and genuine care.

The Role

As Hotel Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the property, leading through your Heads of Department to ensure consistency, quality and memorable guest stays.

You will be responsible for team leadership, guest satisfaction, operational standards and financial performance while maintaining a visible presence across the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support operational teams across all departments
• Ensure consistent service standards and smooth daily operations
• Build a guest‑focused culture through coaching and accountability
• Manage guest feedback and identify opportunities for improvement
• Oversee budgets, cost controls and operational performance
• Maintain compliance, quality standards and property readiness
• Work closely with the wider Village n Life leadership team

What We’re Looking For

• Hospitality Management qualification or relevant experience
• Minimum 2 years’ Hotel Manager or senior hospitality leadership experience
• Background in a 4‑ or 5‑star environment
• Strong rooms, food and beverage and guest service knowledge
• Financial understanding and operational discipline
• Confident leader with excellent communication skills
• Hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail
