Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Environmental Services Manager for our large healthcare facility in Polokwane, Limpopo. You will lead the cleaning and sanitation team, implement infection control practices, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in healthcare administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive environmental services management experience in healthcare setting.
• Budget development and management experience.
• Strong infection control knowledge and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement environmental services policies with emphasis on infection control and patient safety.
• Supervise daily EVS operations including staffing, training, scheduling, and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
• Develop and manage departmental budget covering labor, supplies, and equipment.
• Oversee procurement and inventory of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Lead training programs on cleaning techniques and waste management.
• Respond to environmental emergencies affecting patient care or safety.
