Placements24 is recruiting an experienced Healthcare Facility Cleaning Supervisor for a leading healthcare provider in Polokwane. The role focuses on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control in medical facilities, ensuring patient safety and staff well-being.

You will lead a team of cleaners, enforce strict healthcare sanitation protocols, and collaborate with nursing and admin staff to sustain a sterile environment.

Formación

• 5+ years in cleaning and sanitation, with healthcare facility exposure.
• Deep understanding of healthcare sanitation protocols and waste management.
• Familiarity with sterilization techniques and healthcare disinfectants.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Good knowledge of health and safety regulations in medical settings.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise daily cleaning operations in healthcare facilities in Polokwane.
• Enforce cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization protocols.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and infection control standards (NHLS where relevant).
• Train staff on medical waste handling and high-level disinfection.
• Inspect areas such as patient rooms and operating theatres for cleanliness.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, disinfectants, and equipment.
• Develop cleaning schedules to minimize disruption to patient care.
• Oversee maintenance and functioning of cleaning equipment.
• Respond to infection control breaches or urgent cleaning needs.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, hospital admin, and infection control practitioners.
