Job summary

Talent Candey is seeking a reliable Hire Controller for a Durban-based construction equipment hire client. The role is based at the reception and hire desk, handling customer inquiries, bookings, payments and record keeping.

You will need strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage cash and equipment records in a busy, hands-on environment. Prior experience in a hire or customer service setting is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 is essential.
• Experience in customer service, reception or hire-desk is advantageous.
• Experience processing bookings, payments or refunds is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for customers at the reception and hire desk.
• Process equipment bookings, payments and refunds and maintain records.
• Monitor and follow up on overdue or outstanding equipment and ensure accurate records.
• Register and maintain customer details and hire documentation.
• Assist with loading/off-loading equipment when required and support branch operations.
