Job summary

Pedros Chicken is seeking a Recruitment Officer to deliver high-volume recruitment support across our Johannesburg stores. You will manage end-to-end recruitment for frontline and supervisory roles, ensuring vacancies are filled with suitable candidates within agreed timelines.

You will partner with Store and Operations Managers to build pipelines, coordinate interviews and checks, maintain accurate recruitment records, ensure policy compliance, and provide a professional candidate experience

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 is essential.
• Certificate, Diploma or Degree in HR or Recruitment is advantageous.
• 1–3 years' recruitment or HR administration experience.
• Experience in high-volume recruitment or multi-site environments is advantageous.
• Experience recruiting for entry-level, frontline or operational roles.
• Experience in retail, FMCG, hospitality or high-turnover environments is advantageous.
• Experience using an ATS or recruitment database.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to manage multiple vacancies and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for crew and entry-level store positions.
• Support recruitment for supervisory and junior management positions.
• Review and screen applications against defined job requirements.
• Conduct telephonic and face-to-face interviews and assessments where required.
• Shortlist suitable candidates and provide relevant candidate information to hiring managers.
• Coordinate the recruitment process from initial screening through to appointment.
• Build candidate pipelines and maintain active pipelines for high-volume vacancies.
• Coordinate interviews and ensure hiring managers receive relevant candidate information.
• Provide candidates with clear, professional and timely communication throughout the process.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records and ensure data integrity across systems.
