Job summary

Pedro’s Chicken in Johannesburg is seeking a Recruitment Officer to oversee high-volume recruitment for crew, entry-level and supervisory roles across stores. You will work with Store and Operations Managers to forecast needs, source candidates and manage the candidate journey from screening through to appointment.

The role focuses on accuracy, compliance and engaging experience for candidates while maintaining data integrity and timely delivery of vacancies.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 essential.
• Certificate, Diploma or Degree in HR or related field advantageous.
• 1–3 years' recruitment or HR admin experience.
• Experience in high-volume recruitment or multi-site environments advantageous.
• Experience recruiting for entry-level/store roles.
• Experience with ATS or recruitment databases.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple vacancies and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for crew and entry-level store positions.
• Support recruitment for supervisory and junior management positions.
• Review and screen applications against job requirements.
• Conduct telephonic and face-to-face interviews and assessments.
• Shortlist candidates and share relevant information with hiring managers.
• Coordinate recruitment processes from screening to appointment.
• Build candidate pipelines and support recruitment drives and events.
• Monitor progress and improve turnaround times.
• Provide updates on vacancy progress to stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records and data integrity.
