Job summary

Pedro's in Cape Town seeks an energetic Recruitment Officer to support high-volume hiring across our stores. This hands-on role delivers end-to-end recruitment for crew and entry-level positions, screening applications and coordinating interviews.

You will build talent pipelines, partner with store and operations managers, manage offers and pre-employment checks, and keep hiring teams informed. Experience with ATS and strong organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 is essential.
• A Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or a related field is advantageous.
• 1–3 years' recruitment or HR administration experience, ideally within a high-volume or multi-site environment.
• Experience recruiting or screening for entry-level/frontline positions.
• Retail, FMCG, hospitality or another high-turnover environment would be advantageous.
• Experience using an ATS or recruitment database.
• Strong organisation, communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple vacancies simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for crew and entry-level store positions.
• Support recruitment for supervisory and junior management roles.
• Screen applications and conduct telephonic and in-person interviews.
• Proactively source candidates and build talent pipelines for recurring store vacancies.
• Partner with Store and Operations Managers to understand hiring requirements and priorities.
• Coordinate interviews, hiring days and high-volume recruitment initiatives.
• Manage offers, pre-employment checks and recruitment documentation.
• Maintain accurate candidate and vacancy information on recruitment systems.
• Keep candidates and hiring managers informed throughout the recruitment process.
