Job summary

Communicate Recruitment in Cape Town is seeking a payroll specialist to process monthly payroll, overtime, leave and adjustments. You will maintain employee payroll records and handle banking details, while addressing payroll queries and investigations.

Responsibilities include reconciliations, cashbook processing, and reporting. You will support the Finance team with ad-hoc projects and ensure accuracy and policy compliance in a high-volume South African payroll environment.

Qualifications

• Previous payroll processing experience is essential.
• Experience working within a high-volume payroll environment.
• Strong reconciliation skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Experience with payroll-related reporting and administration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process monthly payroll.
• Process overtime, leave, incentives and payroll adjustments.
• Maintain employee payroll records and banking details.
• Handle payroll-related queries and investigations.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and monthly general ledger reconciliations.
• Process and reconcile payroll cashbook transactions.
• Reconcile company credit cards and prepare supporting reports.
• Assist with monthly reporting and finance administration.
• Support the Finance team with ad-hoc projects and reporting requirements.
• Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
