Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Performance Tuning Specialist for a premium workshop in Centurion, Gauteng. You will remap ECUs, calibrate software, and optimize power, torque, and drivability across exotic and high-performance vehicles.

Role requires deep engine knowledge, mastery of tuning platforms, and hands-on dyno testing. Excellent client communication and meticulous analysis are essential for delivering premium results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in automotive performance tuning and ECU remapping.
• Proficiency with tuning platforms such as KESS V2, Alientech, TunerStudio, HP Tuners.
• Strong dyno testing and data acquisition proficiency.
• Solid understanding of internal combustion engines, forced induction, and transmission control modules.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform ECU remapping and software calibration to enhance performance.
• Analyze engine data logs and dyno runs to optimize tuning parameters for power and drivability.
• Develop custom tuning maps for client requirements including turbo, intake, and exhaust mods.
• Diagnose and resolve performance-related issues ensuring engine reliability post-tuning.
• Utilize dynamometer equipment for accurate testing and calibration.
• Stay updated with tuning trends, tech, and emissions regulations.
• Provide expert consultation to clients on performance upgrades and strategies.
• Collaborate with mechanics to integrate modifications smoothly.
