Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Vehicle Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles in Rustenburg. You will perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs to diesel engines, transmissions, braking and hydraulic systems.

The role requires reading technical manuals and schematics, strong problem-solving, and strict adherence to safety standards. You will work in a well-equipped workshop and have opportunities for specialized training.

Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanic with proven experience in heavy vehicle repair.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, and braking systems.
• Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems on industrial vehicles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and diagnostic checks on a variety of industrial vehicles, including trucks and specialized equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system failures.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize vehicle downtime and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
