Placements24 in Bloemfontein is seeking a skilled Vehicle Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a diverse vehicle fleet, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

This hands-on role supports Driving & Transport services across the Free State. The ideal candidate has strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified Vehicle Mechanic with relevant trade certifications (e.g., NQF Level 3 or 4).
• Proven experience diagnosing and repairing light and heavy‑duty vehicles.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of company vehicles, including engine, transmission, brakes, and suspension systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment and specialized tools.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Ensure all repairs are completed according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed on each vehicle.
• Keep the workshop area clean, organized, and equipped with necessary tools and supplies.
