Job summary

Santtam Insurance seeks a Head: Tender Hub to lead a centralised Group Tender Hub for tender and RFx governance across the Sanlam and Santam Group. This role drives compliant, audit-ready tender execution while improving prioritisation, governance and value delivery across the business.

The role partners with executives and cross-functional stakeholders to align strategy, deliver insights, and scale processes. Leadership of a high-performing team is required.

Qualifications

• 15+ years procurement experience with senior leadership in complex organisations.
• Deep experience in tender/RFx governance, compliance and audit-ready execution.
• Strong understanding of procurement risk, legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven executive stakeholder management, influencing and reporting capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Group Tender Hub as the central channel for tender and RFx governance and execution.
• Oversee tender intake, triage and prioritisation across business units and clusters.
• Ensure end-to-end tender execution is consistent, transparent and audit-ready.
• Maintain strong governance, compliance and risk controls across the tender lifecycle.
• Partner with executive and cross-functional stakeholders to align strategy and resolve escalations.
• Deliver performance reporting, insights and value tracking across the tender portfolio.
• Improve tender frameworks, SOPs and workflows to support scale and consistency.
• Lead and develop a high-performing Tender Hub team.

• Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Law, Business, Commerce or Supply Chain/Procurement; MCIPS preferred.

• Strong understanding of procurement risk, legal and regulatory frameworks.
