Job summary

Absa Bank Limited is seeking a Head of A&E FinOps to lead the technology financial operations function, ensuring governance, cost transparency, and value realization across cloud, platforms, and transformation programs. The role partners with CIO, CFO, and sponsors to align funding with roadmaps.

The candidate will own budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for technology estates, and drive cost optimization while tracking ROI and savings targets across PPB Technology.

Qualifications

• Senior-level finance leadership with governance focus.
• Experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, and cost optimization.
• Postgraduate degree in Financial Sciences is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and define the PPB Technology FinOps strategy and governance.
• Establish cost transparency across Cloud, Core Platforms, and Infrastructure.
• Own financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for technology programmes.
• Drive cost optimization, waste reduction, and lifecycle cost management.
• Provide executive cost reporting and ensure accountability for spend vs value.
