You will drive menu innovation, manage costs, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations, shaping the restaurant's culinary direction and guest experience.

Qualifications

• Proven Head Chef or equivalent with seasonal/local cuisine experience.
• Willing to relocate to Vereeniging.
• Strong leadership and training skills.
• Budgeting and cost control experience.
• Knowledge of HACCP standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and consistency in food production.
• Develop creative and seasonal menus that showcase local ingredients.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a high-performance environment.
• Control food costs, manage inventory, and minimize waste.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Source ingredients from local farmers and suppliers.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and work environment.

• Deputize for the General Manager when needed.
