Job description

Sovereign, a national supplier of quality chicken products to various markets with operations in five provinces, is seeking a thorough and committed individual for the position of Hatchery Supply Chain Planner for its Hatchery operations in the Agriculture division. The Hatchery Supply Chain Planner is responsible for managing the egg volumes at a group level and prepare month end audits. This position reports to the Senior Production Manager: Hatcheries and holds the TASK Grade T07.

The ideal candidate must possess a National Diploma in Administration or a related field, together with four years’ relevant experience, including at least two years’ experience in supply chain and two years’ experience in advanced reconciliations, general administration, reporting and data capturing.

Results Required:

• Manage incoming egg volumes at a group level
• Analyse actual ser versus set plan and the reasons for these variations
• Prepare and update the supply chain documentation for the Hatchery group
• Summarise all placements per farm per pen per breed and volumes showing shortages deducted, then distribute to relevant people.
• Capture data onto Avihance
• Reconcile production and Avihance data
• Summarise and analyse invoices
• Reconcile month end sets
