CampusKey Student Living is seeking a maintenance-minded professional to support our student housing facilities. You will handle maintenance requests, assist students, and coordinate with subcontractors on-site to ensure timely and quality service.

You will work closely with a dynamic team, available after hours and weekends, and contribute to a vibrant campus living environment that values reliability and empathy for residents.

Competenze

• Basic handyman skills or coursework relevant to maintenance.
• At least 1 year experience in a hotel/hospitality environment.
• Strong verbal communication in English and Afrikaans; a third language preferred.
• Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic and empathy.
• Passion and alignment with CampusKey vision and values.

Mansioni

• Receive and execute maintenance requests from a job-card system.
• Assist students with maintenance as required.
• Manage and assist sub-contractors onsite.
• Be available after hours and on weekends for maintenance issues.
• Assist with site walks to enforce the noise protocol.
• Maintain stock control and stock management.
• Operate the maintenance tracking system via the app.
• Support the community function team when needed.

Experience & Requirements

• Relevant courses or experience in basic handy man skills
• At least 1 year experience in a hotel/hospitality environment
• Must have strong verbal communication skills in English, Afrikaans and preferably a 3rd language;
• Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy;
• Passion and understanding for CampusKey vision and values;

Duties & Responsibilities

• Receive and execute maintenance from a job – card system
• Assist students with maintenance as and when required
• Manage and assist sub-contractors onsite
• Be available after hours and on weekends to assist with maintenance issues
• Assist the team with site walks to execute the noise protocol
• Good stock taking and stock management skills
• Operate the maintenance tracking system electronically (phone APP)
• Assist Community function team when required
• Follow operational protocol
