CampusKey Student Living in Gqeberha is seeking a hands-on maintenance helper with basic handyman skills. This three-month fixed-term contract offers a chance to join a dynamic, student-focused hospitality environment.

You will assist students with maintenance requests, coordinate with sub-contractors, and help uphold CampusKey values. Fluency in English and Afrikaans is required; a third language is a plus. Weekend on-call may be needed.

Competenze

• Experience in basic handyman tasks and maintenance.
• Minimum 1 year in hotel/hospitality environment.
• Fluent English and Afrikaans, with a third language preferred.

Mansioni

• Receive and execute maintenance requests via a job-card system.
• Assist students with maintenance as required.
• Manage and assist on-site subcontractors; be available after hours and weekends.
• Assist with site walks to enforce the noise protocol.
• Maintain stock taking and stock management.
• Operate the maintenance tracking system electronically (phone app).
• Assist Community function team when required.
• Follow operational protocol.

Experience & Requirements

• Relevant courses or experience in basic handy man skills
• At least 1 year experience in a hotel/hospitality environment
• Must have strong verbal communication skills in English, Afrikaans and preferably a 3rd language;
• Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy;
• Passion and understanding for CampusKey vision and values;
