Job summary

Coslab in Diep River, Cape Town, is seeking a hands-on Quality Assurance Officer to lead the in-house QA function within a small team. You will ensure ISO 22716 compliance, conduct internal and client audits, and drive corrective actions while collaborating with production and development teams to maintain product quality for cosmetic and FMCG manufacturing.

Qualifications

B.Sc / M.Sc or a relevant technical or scientific qualification.
Minimum 4–5 years in quality, hands-on and able to run day-to-day quality function.
Strong understanding of quality parameters in cosmetics or FMCG manufacturing.
Experience with 5S and continuous improvement in a small quality team.
Experience in cosmetics, personal care, or related FMCG manufacturing is essential.
Ability to collaborate with production, lab development and client-facing teams.

Responsibilities

Run the day‑to‑day quality assurance function, hands‑on across the production floor.
Ensure adherence to ISO 22716 and other certification standards.
Conduct internal and client audits, close out any non‑conformances and do necessary staff training.
Work closely with Production, Manufacturing and Development teams to maintain product and process quality in line with regulatory and client requirements.
