Santam's Core Insurance Platform team is seeking a BillingCenter Developer based at the Head Office in Bellville to own development, enhancement, maintenance and support of the Guidewire BillingCenter platform. You will contribute to architecture, production stability and system integrations across the Guidewire InsuranceSuite landscape.

The role requires strong Gosu, Java, SQL, XML and REST API skills, plus hands-on experience with cloud-hosted environments and agile delivery.

Qualificações

• Requires tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ software development experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite platforms.
• Experience developing and supporting Guidewire BillingCenter solutions.
• Strong experience with Gosu, Java, SQL, XML, REST APIs and web services.
• Experience with cloud-hosted applications and agile delivery.
• Experience in financial services or short-term insurance is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, configure and maintain Guidewire BillingCenter functionality and extensions.
• Develop solutions in line with Guidewire best practices and Santam standards.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Integrate BillingCenter with PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, JDE and other enterprise apps.
• Configure billing plans, payment plans, delinquency processes, invoicing and financial event processing.
• Perform root-cause analysis and resolve production defects and incidents.
• Participate in upgrades, cloud releases and platform optimization.
• Collaborate with architects, BAs, QAs and support teams throughout delivery.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and deployment procedures.
• Ensure adherence to performance, security and supportability standards.
