Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a General Manager for a charming guesthouse in Rustenburg, North West. The role oversees all operations, staff, budgeting, and guest experience to uphold the property’s excellent reputation.

You will manage front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B where applicable, drive growth, and ensure exceptional service while maintaining high standards and compliance. Accommodation on-site is provided.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in a management or supervisory role within hospitality

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the guesthouse (front office, housekeeping, maintenance, F&B)
• Lead the guesthouse team with training and motivation
• Handle guest reservations and inquiries with exceptional service
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation
• Manage procurement, inventory and control operational costs
• Develop marketing and sales strategies to attract guests
• Oversee budgeting, financial reporting and cash flow management
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and licensing regulations
• Build relationships with local suppliers and community
• Seek opportunities to improve guest satisfaction and efficiency
