This hands-on role requires excellent communication and strong organizational skills to manage check-ins, reservations, housekeeping coordination and staff schedules.

You will supervise service standards across rooms and shared areas, promote the guesthouse online, and respond promptly to guest feedback.

Qualifications

• Experience in guesthouse, hotel, lodge or hospitality operations.
• Experience with reservation or booking management systems.
• Proficient with social media and online booking platforms.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and manage check-in and check-out procedures.
• Handle reservations, enquiries, requests and guest feedback professionally.
• Coordinate housekeeping, laundry and general maintenance requirements.
• Prepare staff schedules, allocate duties and monitor service standards.
• Maintain inventory and manage purchasing within the approved budget.
• Ensure rooms and shared areas are presented to a consistently high standard.
• Promote the guesthouse through online booking platforms and social media.
• Assist with resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety and hospitality requirements.
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the guesthouse.
