Job summary

Pullman Cape Town invites a friendly and proactive waiter/waitress to prepare dining spaces, take orders, serve guests across restaurant, meeting rooms, breakfast, bar or patio, and clear tables in line with the F&B concept.

You will use the POS system, maximise sales through product knowledge and suggestive selling, maintain clean service areas, support room service, and uphold Accor safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum Matric (grade 12) or equivalent.
• Previous experience in the hotel industry is preferred.
• Knowledge in food and beverage operations.

Responsibilities

• Take orders and maximise sales through knowledge of products and suggestive selling.
• Take orders and send them to kitchen staff through the POS system.
• Deliver orders promptly to the kitchen production area and to guests.
• Check ordered meals on collection from kitchen and ensure correct delivery and appearance.
• Keep tables and service areas clean and tidy as per procedure.
• Take responsibility for your designated section and station; assist with Room Service when required.
