Job summary

Helderberg Personnel is recruiting an experienced Front of House Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of a premium Restaurant or Tasting Room in Stellenbosch. This is a people-focused role on the floor, guiding a team and ensuring guests receive warm, professional and memorable service.

You will oversee service flow, manage the FOH team, handle guest queries, drive sales and maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of hospitality experience with supervisory or management exposure.
• Experience managing a quality restaurant, tasting room or premium hospitality operation would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of restaurant and service operations and guest service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily running of front of house and lead the team during service.
• Manage guest queries, VIPs and ensure high service standards.
• Monitor stock, cash-ups and daily administration for accuracy.
• Drive sales through upselling and wine, tasting and retail opportunities.
• Ensure SOPs, health, safety, cleanliness and professional presentation.
