Job summary

Placements24 in Vereeniging is seeking a skilled Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician to maintain the airport's essential ground operations fleet. You will inspect, repair, and troubleshoot a range of GSE such as baggage tractors, aircraft tugs, de-icing units, and maintenance platforms, ensuring safe and efficient aircraft turnarounds.

This role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical skills in a busy airport environment and offers training and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance of ground support equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience in Airport environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various types of GSE.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure all equipment meets operational standards and regulations.
