Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Head of Growth Marketing to lead the PPC and SEO functions. You will own channel strategy, budget allocation, and overall department performance, while strategists execute campaigns. You will be the client-facing owner for underperforming accounts and drive results across the full funnel.

This is a management seat, not an individual contributor role. You will hire for the department and run first-round interviews within about a quarter, guiding the team to elevated

Qualifications

7+ years across paid media and SEO.
Experience leading strategists or specialists.
Depth in Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, Meta and Microsoft Ads.
Proven turnaround of an account with explainable metrics.
Comfortable owning client-facing delivery when accounts underperform.
Agency experience carrying many accounts.

Responsibilities

Own channel strategy and budget allocation as accounts scale.
Define quality standards, audits, and reporting for the department.
Drive client results and ensure honest reporting, including attribution/GA4.
Escalate when an account is at risk and guide the strategists to fix it.
Plan hiring for the department and conduct first-round interviews.
Collaborate with sales to credibly deliver on promises.
