Job summary

SolarAfrica Energy (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Group Tax & Treasury Manager to lead tax compliance, treasury operations, and intercompany funding across the Group.

The role reports to the Head of Finance and requires 7–10 years in tax/treasury within multi-entity environments, with CA(SA)/CTA preferred. ERP/MS Dynamics experience is advantageous and will support SolarAfrica's growth objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Economics or related field.
• CA(SA), CTA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• 7-10 years' experience in Group Tax, Treasury, Corporate Finance, Tax or Group Finance.
• Experience managing debt facilities, funding structures and lender relationships.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax, VAT and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in a multi-entity group environment.
• Advanced financial modelling and cash flow forecasting experience.
• Experience engaging with SARS lenders, auditors, banks, and external advisors.
• Strong technology savvy with the ability to quickly learn and effectively use new systems, tools, and digital platforms

Responsibilities

• Tax Management: Ensure tax compliance across all Group entities; review VAT, provisional tax and income tax returns; liaise with SARS audits and external advisors.
• Debt & Capital Management: Manage Group debt facilities, funding structures, lender relationships and related schedules.
• Treasury Management: Oversee treasury operations, cash management structures, banking facilities and liquidity optimisation.
• Intercompany Management: Maintain intercompany loans and balances; prepare elimination schedules for Group reporting.
• Reporting & Governance: Prepare reporting for lenders, shareholders, Management, Exco and Board; monitor risks; support financing initiatives.
