Job summary

ENGIE South Africa is seeking a Day-to-day Treasurer to support the Head of Treasury in managing daily cash and liquidity, short-term investments, and cash forecasting within the Finance team based in Bryanston, Sandton, Johannesburg.

The role requires a finance degree, 3-5 years treasury experience, strong knowledge of SARB/KYC and ERP systems, advanced Excel skills, and excellent communication to liaise with internal teams and banking partners.

Qualifications

• Finance degree.
• English: excellent communication skills spoken, written and verbal.
• Minimum 3-5 years in treasury operations, financial risk management, project financing, relationship with local banking community, preferably in a renewable sector or a large multinational company, with bottom up budget preparation.
• Experience in cash operations management
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, including SARB approval, and compliance requirements.
• Strong business and financial acumen (understanding of key operational and business indicators driving financial performance e.g. gross margin, profit and cash flow).

Responsibilities

• Manage cash operations.
• Short term investments.
• Determine daily cash positions.
• Monitor liquidity.
• Manage short-term cash forecast (12 months).
• Report on company liquidity.
• Understanding of SARB/Excon requirements.
• Functional understanding of insurance.
• Good understanding of banking requirements such as FICA and KYC requirements.
• Ability to do payment runs on banking platforms and ERP’s.
