Job summary

SolarAfrica Energy Pty Ltd is seeking a Group Tax & Treasury Manager to drive tax compliance, treasury operations, and debt management across the group. The role reports to the Head of Finance and demands strong experience in tax planning, liquidity optimisation, and stakeholder engagement across multiple entities.

You will oversee VAT, income tax, SARS interactions, and lender reporting while building robust financial models and cash flow forecasts to support strategic decisions and growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• CA(SA), CTA or equivalent qualifications preferred.
• 7–10 years in Group Tax, Treasury, Corporate Finance or Group Finance.
• Experience managing debt facilities and lender relationships.
• Experience in a multi-entity group environment.

Responsibilities

• Tax compliance across all Group entities.
• Review VAT, provisional tax and income tax returns.
• Manage SARS audits, queries and engagements.
• Liaise with auditors and external tax advisors.
• Drive tax planning and tax-efficient structuring initiatives.
• Manage Group debt facilities, funding structures and lender relationships.
• Maintain debt, loan and amortisation schedules.
• Prepare lender reporting, financial models and cash flow forecasts.
• Manage intercompany funding, guarantees and funding facilities.
• Prepare elimination schedules for Group reporting.
• Forecast intercompany funding requirements.
• Prepare reporting for lenders, shareholders, Management, Exco and the Board.
• Monitor funding, liquidity and tax risks.
• Support funding, refinancing and corporate finance initiatives.
