Job summary

outsidecapital is looking for a seasoned finance professional to manage the entire financial lifecycle for a growing international group based in South Africa. The role involves driving month-end closing processes, managing treasury operations, and leading the compliance with IFRS.

The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, have completed SAICA or SAIPA articles, and possess 3-5 years of team management experience. Experience with Oracle NetSuite or Microsoft D365 and knowledge of financial operations in South Africa and East Africa is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of direct team management experience.
• Relevant experience operating financially in South Africa and multiple jurisdictions in East Africa.

Responsibilities

• Drive and coordinate the efficiency and accuracy of the financial close processes.
• Oversee all transactional finance activities, ensuring the integrity of the trial balance.
• Manage complex treasury operations and optimize short-term cash flows.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and maintain the integrity of master data.
• Prepare financial reporting inputs and operational KPIs for management.
• Act as the operational contact for external auditors.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities for process enhancement.
