Job summary

Communicate Recruitment has a senior finance opportunity in Stellenbosch focusing on consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities and currencies. The role partners with African operations, implements IFRS treatments, and coordinates year-end audits while advancing NetSuite-driven automation.

You will work with auditors, FP&A, and tax teams, delivering accurate, scalable reporting and enabling strong financial controls across the group.

Qualifications

• 5 years post-articles experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Proven experience with multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Experience engaging with auditors and senior stakeholders.
• Advanced ERP experience, preferably NetSuite.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the preparation and reviewing of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated accounts and financial statements.
• Drive accurate multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation reporting across the group.
• Partner with finance teams across African operations to ensure reporting consistency and accuracy.
• Research and implement IFRS accounting treatments.
• Manage group reporting deadlines and support year-end audits.
• Liaise with external auditors and resolve technical accounting matters.
• Work with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support group tax, statutory, and secretarial reporting requirements.
• Develop templates and tools to improve reporting efficiency.
• Lead initiatives to automate finance processes via NetSuite and other systems.
• Strengthen internal controls while maintaining scalable processes.
• Deliver training and support to finance teams across the group.

This position involves:

• Owning the preparation and reviewing of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated management accounts and financial statements
• Driving accurate multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation reporting across the group
• Partnering with finance teams across various African operations to ensure reporting consistency and accuracy
• Researching, interpreting, and implementing complex IFRS accounting treatments
• Managing group reporting deadlines and supporting the year-end audit process
• Liaising with external auditors and assisting in resolving technical accounting matters
• Working closely with FP&A teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Supporting group tax, statutory, and secretarial reporting requirements
• Developing reporting templates, tools, and processes that improve efficiency and accuracy
• Leading initiatives to automate and streamlining finance processes through NetSuite and other finance systems
• Strengthening internal controls while maintaining practical and scalable processes
• Delivering training and support to finance teams across the group

Skills & Experience:

• 5 years' post-articles experience
• Proven experience managing multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
• Experience engaging confidently with auditors and senior stakeholders
• Advanced ERP experience, preferably NetSuite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• High attention to detail coupled with a commercial mindset
