Job summary

Communicate Recruitment in Cape Town is seeking a Group Reporting Accountant to manage monthly and annual group reporting, consolidations, and IFRS-compliant financial statement preparation. You will ensure accuracy and provide insights to senior stakeholders.

With 3–5 years in accounting, strong IFRS knowledge, and advanced Excel skills, you will support budgeting, audits, and continuous process improvements within the finance function.

• Perform group consolidations across multiple entities
• Prepare and review financial statements
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and company policies
• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting processes
• Review Income Statement and Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior stakeholders
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Support annual audits and statutory reporting requirements
• Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of accounting and reporting experience
• Experience with consolidations and group reporting
• Strong IFRS knowledge
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail

Qualification:

• BCom Accounting or related degree
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles advantageous
