Job summary

Pronel Consultants is seeking an experienced Group HR Operations & Projects Lead to build scalable HR infrastructure and govern HR policies across a multinational business. The role focuses on implementing a group HRIS, standardising records, and leading remuneration and job grading initiatives.

You will work closely with senior leaders, Finance and Legal to deliver governance, integration projects and robust HR processes for the South AfricaHead Office and regional teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in senior HR operations, administration, remuneration or governance.
• Experience in multinational or multi-country environments.
• Experience implementing or significantly improving an HRIS.
• Remuneration benchmarking, job grading or evaluation expertise.
• Management of employment records, contracts and policies across jurisdictions.
• Hands-on SA payroll processing experience.
• Strong project management, analytical and reporting capabilities including advanced Excel.
• Relevant HR, commerce or business qualification, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR systems & data: implement and administer a group HRIS (e.g., BambooHR) as a single source of truth for records, structures, remuneration, benefits and incentives.
• Coordinate contracts and HR documentation; centralise records while standardising and ensuring local compliance.
• Oversee remuneration cycles, benchmarking and implement a job grading framework for consistency in roles and bands.
• Drive HR policy governance; harmonise and govern the Group's policy framework with Finance, Legal and leadership.
• Manage HR and payroll for South Africa Head Office with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Lead HR integration and transformation workstreams arising from the Rudholm and Bamatex projects.

Are you an experienced HR operations professional who thrives on bringing order to complexity, building scalable systems and turning strategy into action?

Our client is looking for a hands-on Group HR Operations & Projects Lead to establish stronger HR infrastructure.

This is an opportunity to shape how HR operates across a multinational business - creating reliable systems, common standards and governance while working closely with senior leaders, Finance, Legal and regional HR teams.

What you'll own

HR systems & data Lead the implementation and administration of a group HRIS such as BambooHR, creating a single source of truth for employee records, organisational structures, remuneration, benefits and incentives.

Contracts & HR documentation

Bring fragmented employment records and contracts into a secure, structured central repository, while coordinating standardisation and local compliance across jurisdictions.

Remuneration & job architecture Coordinate the annual remuneration and incentive cycles, lead remuneration benchmarking and implement a recognised job grading framework such as Paterson - creating greater consistency in roles, titles, grades and remuneration bands.

HR policies & governance Drive the development, harmonisation and ongoing governance of the Group's HR policy framework, working with Finance, Legal, HR and business leadership.

HR & payroll - South Africa Head Office Take hands-on responsibility for HR administration and monthly payroll for head office, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and timely delivery.

Integration & transformation projects Lead defined HR workstreams arising from the Rudholm and Bamatex integration, including remuneration benchmarking, job grading and policy harmonisation.

What we would like to see in your profile:

• 10+ years' experience in senior HR operations, HR administration, remuneration or workforce governance.
• Proven experience in a multinational or multi-country environment.
• Experience implementing or significantly improving an HR information system.
• Practical expertise in remuneration benchmarking, job grading or job evaluation.
• Strong experience managing employment records, contracts and HR policies across jurisdictions.
• Hands-on South African payroll processing experience.
• Strong project management, analytical and reporting capability, including advanced Excel.
• A relevant HR, commerce or business qualification, or equivalent experience.
