Job summary

Pronel Personnel is seeking a seasoned Group HR Operations & Projects Lead in Cape Town to establish scalable HR infrastructure across a multinational group. You will implement and run a group HRIS, govern payroll for the SA head office, and lead remuneration benchmarking and job grading initiatives.

You will also drive policy governance, HR documentation standardisation, and cross‑jurisdictionHR processes in collaboration with Finance, Legal and regional teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of senior HR operations, HR administration, remuneration or workforce governance experience.
• Experience in a multinational or multi-country environment.
• Experience implementing or significantly improving an HR information system.
• Practical expertise in remuneration benchmarking, job grading or job evaluation.
• Strong experience managing employment records, contracts and HR policies across jurisdictions.
• Hands-on South African payroll processing experience.
• Strong project management, analytical and reporting capability, including advanced Excel.
• A relevant HR, commerce or business qualification, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HR systems & data function, including implementation and administration of a group HRIS (e.g., BambooHR) to create a single source of truth for records, structures, remuneration, benefits and incentives.
• Oversee Contracts & HR documentation; standardise and centralise records while ensuring local compliance across jurisdictions.
• Coordinate remuneration cycles, lead benchmarking and implement a job grading framework to standardise titles, grades and bands.
• Drive HR policies & governance development, harmonisation and ongoing governance across the Group in collaboration with Finance, Legal and leadership.
• Own HR & payroll for South Africa Head Office, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and timely delivery.
• Lead Integration & transformation workstreams from Rudholm and Bamatex projects, including benchmarking, job grading and policy harmonisation.
