Malander is seeking an experienced Group HR Manager to lead the people function at group level, acting as a strategic partner to the CEO. The role covers the complete HR value chain, including performance management, employee relations and HR reporting, with exposure to international practice (UK).

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in a generalist HR role, SA labour law knowledge, and SABPP registration at HR Practitioner level or higher.

Qualifications

• Hands-on senior generalist with end‑to‑end HR experience.
• Experience in performance management, ER, and policy development.
• Strong knowledge of SA labour law (LRA, BCEA, EEA, SDA, OHSA).
• Experience representing at CCMA and managing complex ER matters.
• Exposure to international HR practice (UK) is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement a group people strategy aligned to objectives.
• Partner with executives/line managers to provide strategic HR advice.
• Draft and maintain HR policies in line with legislation.
• Lead HR disputes, hearings, and disciplinary processes.
• Oversee performance management, KPI tracking and coaching.
• Coordinate leave policies per BCEA and guide wellness/engagement initiatives.
• Guide recruitment and onboarding across all levels.
• Implement and oversee HRIS and maintain HR records.
• Prepare monthly HR metrics/reports and support EE planning.
