Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Group Financial Manager to oversee the financial operations of its subsidiaries from its Sandton offices. You will consolidate results, manage treasury, and provide strategic financial insights to the executive team.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in financial management with strong IFRS, consolidation and tax knowledge. Leadership and ERP proficiency (SAP/Oracle) are essential for driving policy and controls across the group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CA(SA) is mandatory.
• 8+ years of progressive financial management experience, including at least 4 years in group financial management.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, group consolidation, treasury management and SA tax laws.
• Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategy.

About the Role

Our client, a diversified holding company with interests in property development and investment, is seeking a seasoned Group Financial Manager to oversee the financial operations of its subsidiaries. This key role, based in their modern offices in Sandton, Gauteng , will be responsible for consolidating financial results, managing group treasury functions, and providing strategic financial insights to the executive leadership team. The Group Financial Manager will play a vital part in ensuring the financial health and strategic direction of the group. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong leadership skills, extensive experience in group financial management, and a deep understanding of investment and property finance. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and consolidation of group financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Manage group treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and banking relationships.
• Develop and implement group-wide financial policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements across the group.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for the group.
• Analyze financial performance of subsidiaries and provide insights to senior management.
• Manage group capital structure and financing activities.
• Oversee the internal audit function and ensure robust internal controls are in place.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Mentor and develop the finance teams within the group.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 4 years in a group financial management or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, group consolidation, treasury management, and South African tax laws.
• Proven experience in financial strategy development and execution.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Proficiency in financial ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in property development or investment sectors is a significant advantage.
