About the Role

Our client, a diversified holding company with significant interests across multiple sectors, is looking for a strategic Group Financial Manager to oversee the financial operations of its subsidiaries. Based in East London, Eastern Cape , this role demands a leader with a comprehensive understanding of group accounting, consolidation, and financial strategy. The Group Financial Manager will be instrumental in ensuring financial discipline, optimizing group performance, and providing critical insights to the executive board. This position offers a hybrid work model, enabling a flexible approach to work. We are seeking a highly competent finance professional with proven experience in managing complex group structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for the group of companies in accordance with IFRS.
• Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and elimination entries.
• Develop and implement group-wide financial policies and procedures.
• Lead the group budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Analyze financial performance of subsidiaries and provide strategic recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements across the group.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and bankers.
• Identify opportunities for financial synergies and cost efficiencies within the group.
• Mentor and develop the finance teams within the subsidiaries.

Requirements
