Placements24 is seeking a Group Financial Accountant to oversee consolidated financial reporting for a diverse group of companies. The role focuses on IFRS reporting, intercompany eliminations, and strong leadership of a remote finance team.

You will drive policy, coordinate with external auditors, and provide strategic financial analysis to executives from anywhere, with an emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and scalable group-wide processes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting or Finance; CA(SA) or equivalent qualification is essential.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial accounting with a focus on group consolidations.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS and South African accounting practices.
• Experience with financial consolidation software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and remote leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for the entire group according to IFRS.
• Oversee intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws across jurisdictions.
