Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Financial Controller to lead accounting operations from anywhere in South Africa. This remote-first role oversees payables, receivables, general ledger, payroll, and internal controls, ensuring timely IFRS reporting and compliance.

With at least 7 years in accounting and a CA(SA) or equivalent, you will mentor a distributed team, drive budgeting and forecasting, and partner with leadership to shape financial strategy.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) or equivalent qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management.
• Proven experience in a financial controller or senior accounting role.
• Expertise in IFRS and South African tax legislation.
• Experience managing remote teams in a distributed environment.
• Proficiency with financial management software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and payroll.
