Job summary

Outsourced CFO is seeking a Finance Director for its Cape Town base to oversee Commercial & Industrial Solar Distribution. The role reports to the CEO and Board, with accountability across the group and subsidiaries, including debt facilities and international operations.

You will lead a lean, multi-jurisdiction finance team, drive covenant compliance and lending reporting, and partner with tax advisers to optimize capital structure amid rapid growth and expanding distributor networks.

Qualifications

CA(SA) or equivalent is required.
10–15 years post-qualification experience with 5+ years in senior leadership (C-suite).
Experience engaging with boards, lenders or noteholders.
Experience in import‑distribution, trading or industrial sectors preferred.
Proven track record scaling finance functions during rapid growth.
Cross-border, multi-currency group reporting exposure.

Responsibilities

Consolidated financial control and reporting across holding and subsidiaries.
Group-level working capital strategy and capital allocation decisions.
Covenant compliance and lender reporting; primary contact for lenders and noteholders.
FX exposure management and hedging for intercompany invoicing.
Transfer pricing coordination with external tax advisers.
Lead and develop the finance function, including Head of Financial Operations and HR.
Board and CEO reporting on performance and covenant compliance.
