Job summary

Outsourced CFO in Cape Town, South Africa, seeks a Finance Director to scale the finance function across a holding group and subsidiaries, reporting to the CEO with board accountability.

You will lead consolidated control, working capital strategy, debt covenant reporting, FX hedging, and cross-border group reporting, while developing a lean team across jurisdictions. This is a high-visibility role demanding CA(SA) and board-level experience.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) or equivalent with 10–15 years post-qualification experience.
• 5+ years in a Senior Finance Leadership position (C-suite level).
• Experience engaging with boards, lenders or noteholders at executive level.
• Experience in import-distribution, trading or industrial businesses is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consolidated financial control and reporting across holding and subsidiaries.
• Group-level working capital strategy and capital allocation decisions.
• Covenant compliance and reporting for debt funding, lender liaison.
• FX exposure management and hedging across intercompany invoicing.
• Lead finance function with heads of operations and outsourced CFO.
• Board and CEO reporting on financial performance and strategic matters.
