Job summary

PPS invites an experienced Head of Group Compliance to lead and modernise the compliance function across the PPS Group in South Africa. Reporting to the Group Executive: Legal and Compliance, you will design and implement a data-driven, technology-enabled compliance operating model, embedding standards, policies, and risk management across subsidiaries and regulators.

You will champion automation, oversee second-line monitoring, market conduct and TCF, and manage relationships with regulators

Qualifications

• LLB degree (NQF 8) and admission and enrolment as an Advocate or an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• CAMS or AML Prac SA certification, essential.
• CFP designation, essential.
• Post Graduate Diploma in Compliance Management, preferred.
• Compliance Professional (C Prof) or Compliance Practitioner (C Prac) designation, preferred.
• FAIS RE 1 (Key Individual exam), preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set and drive the Group compliance strategy and modernisation agenda.
• Lead and modernise the compliance operating model.
• Own the Group compliance risk management process.
• Manage the relationship with regulatory authorities.
• Own the Information Officer / privacy oversight function.
• Support the MLCO and oversee the financial crime programme.
• Own second-line compliance monitoring and assurance.
• Own the market conduct and TCF framework.
• Own the regulatory universe, CRMPs and regulatory returns.
• Oversee compliance training and the champions network.
• People and Culture: build and lead a high-performing team.
