Job summary

Tiger Brands is seeking a Shift Miller to manage the oat mills production on a shift, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced grain facility. The role combines technical milling expertise with quality control, maintenance oversight, and occasional supervision of personnel.

The candidate should have a GMF Trade, at least 4 years of experience in wheat/maize/oat milling, and an added advantage for oat milling exposure.

Qualifications

• Qualified Wheat OR Maize miller – GMF Trade (required).
• Minimum 4 years proven experience running a wheat, maize or oat mill.
• Added advantage: oat milling experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the oat milling process during the shift to ensure product quality and yield.
• Monitor production efficiencies, staff performance, and plant capacity.
• Ensure adherence to GMP, hygiene and safety standards and maintain accurate production records.
• Analyse quality samples and reports; implement improvements to reduce downtime and waste.
