Job summary

Smith Nephew invites applications for a full-time Inventory Controller Graduate internship in Johannesburg, within its Supply Chain Division. You will support planning, purchasing and management of materials from vendors to warehouses, ensuring alignment with sourcing and distribution agreements.

Qualifications

• One to two years’ experience in data capture preferably in a computerized stores environment.
• Matric Qualification
• Supply Chain Degree or Diploma

Responsibilities

• Schedule the supply of material or components to meet sales requirements and safety stock levels
• Day to day order management and management of stock redistribution
• Understand and manage through escalation where necessary risks to minimize impact on sales
• Utilize the MRP system to ensure that data is accurate and up to date and resolve any disparities as required
• Create regular key statistical reports and analysis that is used as key inputs for other functions within the organization
