Job summary

AGC Mining Recruitment Pty Ltd is assisting a leading mining company in the Northern Cape to find a dynamic Grade Controller. The role focuses on effective grade control and maximizing throughput in the Beneficiation Section, with emphasis on communication, maintenance, visual inspections, and SHERQ adherence.

Candidates should have Grade 12 with mathematics, at least one year Jig Plant or WHIMS experience and a minimum of three years in operational plant roles, plus knowledge of jigs (Humbolt)

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with mathematics.
• Minimum of one (1) year operational Jig Plant or WHIMS experience.
• Minimum of three (3) year operational Plant experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective grade control and maximum throughput in the Beneficiation Section.
• Coordinate maintenance and inspections; perform visual inspections and noise identifications.
• Adhere to SHERQ standards and procedures; conduct mini risk assessments; apply ISO standards.

About the job Grade Controller Mining Northern Cape

Our client, a leading mining company in the Northern Cape, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Grade Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will ensure effective grade control and maximum throughout in the Beneficiation Section which includes but not limited to:

• Communication
• Maintenance
• Visual inspections and noise identifications
• SHERQ adherence and compliance
• Work Ethics

Desired Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 with mathematics
• Minimum of one (1) year operational Jig Plant or WHIMS experience
• Minimum of three (3) year operational Plant experience

Computer Literacy -SCADA process (basic)

Equipment knowledge- Working knowledge of jigs (Humbolt) and or WHIMS machines

Statutory knowledge- Working knowledge of MHSA Relevant COPs, VTS

SHERQ- SHERQ standards and procedures; Mini risk assessments; ISO standards

Technical knowledge - First line maintenance; Completed all relevant plant modules including beneficiation modules specified by training departments

Diagnostic (Quality) - Equipment root cause analysis; Fault finding and problem solving
