Job summary

AGC Mining Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Engineer for a leading mining operation in the Northern Cape. The role focuses on coordinating site engineering services, managing contractors, budgets and SHERQ compliance to optimize plant and equipment performance.

Ideal candidates hold an NQF6 or higher in mechanical/electrical engineering, GCC, and 8+ years of operational engineering plus 3+ years of project/ middle management experience.

Qualifications

• National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
• B.Degree / B.Tech (NQF Level 7) in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) required.
• Minimum of eight years of operational engineering experience as an appointed Section Engineer.
• Minimum of three years of operational project / middle management experience.
• Proficient with MS Office; advanced in reporting tools and discipline-specific software.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining, manage and coordinate all the site engineering services and project activities to ensure plant and equipment optimization, which includes but not limited to:

Desired Experience and Qualifications

• National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• B.Degree / B.Tech (NQF Level 7) in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering will be an advantage

• Minimum of eight (8) years operational engineering experience as an appointed Section Engineer
• Minimum of three (3) years operational project / middle management experience
