Job summary

Sea Point Primary in Cape Town is seeking a Grade 7 Class Educator for a 6-month contract starting 1 January 2027. The role requires a dynamic and innovative educator with strong English and Afrikaans skills and experience in the Senior Phase.

The ideal candidate will teach English, Maths, Natural Science and Life Orientation, possess CAPS knowledge, and be capable of reporting via Staffroom Admin. Interpersonal and disciplinary skills are essential, with sport coaching a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years teaching experience in Intermediate / Senior Phase specializing in Grade 7
• Proficient in English and Afrikaans
• Class teacher with ability to teach English, Maths, Natural Science, Life Orientation
• Knowledge of Senior Phase methodologies – proof of training courses
• Experience with Interactive Whiteboard
• PDP driving licence pre-requisite
• Passionate about education, knowledge of CAPS and current educational trends
• Proven administrative and organisational abilities
