Placements24 is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee GMP compliance operations in Richards Bay. You will lead the Quality Management System development and drive continuous improvement to ensure product quality and regulatory adherence.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Pharmacy or Chemistry, 6+ years QA experience in pharma with 2+ in management, strong leadership, and proven experience with SAHPRA/FDA inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related scientific field; advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 2 years in a management role.
• In-depth knowledge and practical application of GMP regulations and quality systems.
• Proven experience with regulatory inspections (e.g., SAHPRA, FDA).
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with GMP standards.
• Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team, providing training, mentorship, and performance management.
• Oversee all QA-related activities, including batch record review, deviation management, change control, and CAPA implementation.
• Conduct internal audits and support external regulatory inspections and client audits.
• Ensure compliance with relevant pharmaceutical regulations and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with Production, QC, and other departments to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
