Job summary

Mimecast seeks a Global Travel and Expense Analyst to ensure policy compliance, analyze employee travel data, and resolve related issues. The role emphasizes data accuracy, trends identification, and cost-saving opportunities across global teams.

You will work with Navan, Zendesk, and Workday to audit expenses, generate insights, and present actionable recommendations to improve efficiency and compliance. The position requires strong Excel skills and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in travel and expense auditing and support.
• 2+ years of experience in travel and expense auditing, preferably in a corporate or technology environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to reimbursable expenses and travel policies; review expense reports for compliance and approve/reject submissions.
• Communicate expense policies to employees to ensure understanding and compliance.
• Identify opportunities for policy enhancements based on data analysis to optimize travel costs and improve employee experience.
• Analyze travel and expense data using Navan and Excel to identify trends, anomalies, and potential savings; generate reports on expense trends and compliance metrics.
• Audit expenses to detect discrepancies and ensure accuracy; investigate anomalies and provide recommendations.
• Resolve travel and expense tickets end-to-end (Navan, Workday, Zendesk) and educate end users.
• Create dashboards and visuals to communicate findings and tell a story about travel and expense patterns and system issues.
• Collaborate with Global Travel Manager and Data Analytics Team to develop data-driven dashboards and improve system messaging to reduce tickets.
